An ESL Teacher is wanted for an International School in Weihai, Shandong Province
Position: Middle School ESL Teacher
Location: Weihai, Shandong Province
Job Details:
- Teaching Grades: Secondary Grades 7-12
- Working Days: Monday through Friday, 180 working days per year
- Working Hours: 8 am through 4 pm
- Teaching Hours: 22-24 teaching hours per week (each class is 45 minutes)
Requirements:
- Degree: A bachelor’s degree in education or English is preferred
- Native English Speakers only
- Experience: 2 years of teaching experience
- A teaching license from the home country or a CELTA, TESOL, or TEFL certification is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Teach spoken and written English
- Work with Korean school faculty accordingly
- Teach speaking, writing, and reading courses according to the school curriculum
- Manage extracurricular activities such as English summer camps and the school webzine
- Conduct after-school classes during the semester with additional pay (RMB 240/ hour)
Benefits:
- Basic salary:14,000RMB per month
- Housing allowance: 3000-3500 RMB per month
- Fully paid summer and winter holidays (3 months per year)
- Accommodation allowance: 1250 RMB to cover the costs of the employee’s accommodation after arrival, subject to change
- Flight allowance: Up to 3,000RMB of the cost of airfare will be reimbursed. If the airfare exceeds 3,000RMB, 50% of the cost will be reimbursed, up to a limit of 5,000RMB.
- Qualification incentive: RMB 500/ per month for a master’s degree and RMB 1000 per TESOL/TEFL and RMB 500 For an English Teacher
- Other bonus：6,000RMB twice a year
- Contract complete bonus: one year salary.
- Yearly Rise in salary: 500 RMB per year.
